Creative Curriculum
Our fundamental goal is to help young children use their environment productively, and allow them to discover themselves as individuals and independent learners. In order to achieve our goals, Discover Little Miracles uses The Creative Curriculum Framework which includes: setting up a healthy room environment, working with parents and guiding children to use problem solving strategies, building social skills and meeting objective goals.
Creative Curriculum focuses primarily on giving teachers guidelines for setting up their classroom using eleven interest areas and instructional strategies to insure that all aspects of a child’s development (social-emotional, cognitive, and physical) are addressed.
Teachers are required to create lesson plans to meet the needs and interests of each individual child.
Nutrition
Your child's diet is important to us. Properly portioned, nutritious eating started at birth can develop into life-long habits. Little Miracles will serve Certified Organic foods (70-100% organic) to every child in our center, including infants. This means no additives, no preservatives and no fillers. It also means that no pesticides were used to grow our fresh fruits and vegetables. Take a look at our menu and ingredients, and see the healthy advantages for your child.

Transportation for school-age children
When it comes to transporting your child to and from school, or for a field trip, safety is our paramount concern. Discover Little Miracles operates the new and federally-approved fifteen-passenger vehicle with built-in child safety seating, harnesses and belts. These vehicles have safety “roll” cages throughout the entire passenger compartment. Our new van will be parked out front every day; stop and take a look.
Quality Staff
The trust and working relationship that develops between your child, their teacher, and you must be "earned". Our Director, Assistant Director, and child care staff average 2 or more years of "hands on" experience working in child care centers. Lead Teachers carry a degree in early childhood education, and are committed to your child's development. All staff members are required to further their education by:
- Attending regular staff meetings and in-service training seminars
- Completing 25 hours per calendar year of continuous education
- Attending a technical college or university for additional credit-based training
- Continually striving above and beyond what is expected of them on a daily basis
We invite you to stop in and meet our entire staff, take a tour, and ask any questions you may have. We look forward to meeting you and your child!
