Our Staff
At our St. Michael location we offer low children to teacher ratio and are licensed for 50 children. The trust and working relationship that develops between your child, their teacher, and you must be “earned.” Our child care staff averages two or more years of “hands on” experience working in child care centers. All staff members meet the state-required qualifications in early childhood education and are committed to your child’s development. All staff members are required to further their education by:
- Attending regular staff meetings and in-service training seminars
- Completing 15-25 hours per calendar year of continuous education
- Continually striving above and beyond what is expected of them on a daily basis

Melissa and her husband, Justin, met in college while attending a small Christian liberal arts college: The University of Sioux Falls where Melissa earned her bachelor’s in elementary education. Melissa and Justin are blessed with two wonderful children. Jocelyn is a considerate five-year-old who loves and adores her little brother, Cohen, who was born March 2016. Melissa loves working with children because they have a natural desire to learn and problem-solve. Melissa states…”They are little scientists with amazing imaginations”. Melissa wants all families in the St. Michael area to know that your child will be cared for as our own. The staff at Discover Little Miracles will be continually trained in methods of all styles of teachings, learning, direction, and connection.
